The UCLA Library Public Wiki Welcomes You
No special permission is required to use the Public Wiki. Library staff members may want to discuss the idea of creating a wiki page with their supervisor or unit head beforehand, depending on the scope of page’s contents. Individuals should also consider beforehand how the wiki page fits into the Library’s strategic plan and the unit’s and individual’s work plan.
Although the Public wiki is designed to foster the collaboration between the Library staff and its users, all UCLA users are welcome to use this space for other types of collaboration. Sign in with your BOL ID and start contributing!
Users who are not affiliated with UCLA may also contribute by discussion. We are looking at single sign-on standard, such as Shibboleth Project, to support further collaboration between UCLA users and users from other institutions.
Ideally, a wiki page should be produced collaboratively by a group of people, and its content should be refined over a period of time. Although the initial creation may be time consuming, the management of a wiki page generally requires very little time. Consult the User's Guide for information on using the wiki software. Wikipedia Cheatsheet may help you fast track your wiki creation.
Please see the Library Public Wiki FAQ for more details.
